How we calculate this. Generation uses regional Scottish yields for an unshaded, south-facing roof at around 35° (PVGIS satellite data: roughly 720–830 kWh per kWp a year depending on where you live), adjusted for direction and shading, with a Scottish monthly profile. Savings use the tariff you choose: "Standard variable" is the Ofgem October 2026 price cap for your region (≈26.1p/kWh South Scotland, ≈26.4p/kWh North Scotland); fixed, EV and export tariff rates are published rates checked in September 2026 and change often, so check your own bill. Time-of-use tariffs assume solar replaces your daytime rate. We assume 3% yearly price rises and 0.5% panel degradation a year. *£3,750 is for 10 panels on a single tiled roof of a single-storey house (G98). Scaffolding for taller homes, slate/Rosemary tiles, split arrays and bird mesh are priced as shown or confirmed at survey. This is an indicative estimate, not a fixed quote.
